International oboe players will take to the stage of the Erin Arts Centre over the next week.
It is the Barbirolli International Oboe Festival, and competitors will be vying for the first prize of £4000 and a London recital.
All oboists are 30 or under, and the grand final will take place in a weeks time, (April 12th) judged by an international panel.
John Bethell, director of the festival, explains the initial stages.
