The Isle of Man has the eldest population of all crown dependencies and British Overseas Territories, it’s been confirmed.

According to figures released by the World Factbook, based on 2014, the average age of Island residents is 43 years and four months.

That placed the Island 11th out of the 25 world’s most elderly destinations.

The average age of citizens in Monaco (51.1) took the top spot, while the UK was shown to be one of the youthful countries with an average of 40.4 years.
