IOM Post Office installs solar panels on Braddan headquarters

It's part of organisation's push toward net-zero targets

The Isle of Man Post Office has taken the next steps towards its net-zero targets by installing solar panels on the roof of its Braddan headquarters.

It's also adding 32 new electric vehicle charging points to help its planned transition to a zero-emissions delivery fleet by 2028.

It's hoped the move will reduce running costs, improve efficiency and strengthen long-term operations, with an estimated payback in under five years.

Simon Kneen, CEO of Isle of Man Post Office, said: "This is a practical and responsible investment.

"It lowers our running costs, reduces our reliance on rising energy prices and helps us move towards a cleaner delivery fleet.

"We’re committed to making choices that secure the Post Office’s future and support the Island’s wider sustainability efforts."
