It's looking for someone to take over services in Peel
The Isle of Man Post Office has extended the submission period for the expressions of interest for the provision of counter services and/or parcel collection services in Peel.
It was due to close today, but interested parties will now have until noon on Friday, 24 February, 2023.
In a statement, IOMPO said: "Although some interest has already been received [we wish] to determine if there are any other interested parties keen to get in touch who may not be aware of the opportunity yet."
As a result, the closing date on the notice featured on both the Isle of Man Government procurement portal and Procurement page of the IOMPO website are being updated.
The Expression of Interest exercise follows the current retailer acting as Sub Postmaster having notified IOMPO of her intention to terminate her contract for service within the next six months.
Although there is a three-month cooling off period within the termination clause of the contract, IOMPO has been keen to understand what interest there may be from existing or new businesses in the community.
