Island awaits next Panama Papers leak

Chief Minister to attend landmark conference this week

The Chief Minister admits the Isle of Man could be in for a torrid week ahead of the latest revelations in a massive data leak.

The largest-ever release of information about secret offshore companies and the people behind them is due to be made public later today (Monday), based on data from the Panama Papers.

Documents about more than 200,000 companies, trusts, foundations and funds incorporated in 21 jurisdictions will be available via a search database.

Allan Bell says it’s vital the Isle of Man’s transparent stance on offshore financial activity is widely known, just three days before he attends a landmark international anti-corruption summit in London.
