Island could face more extreme weather conditions

Rising sea-levels biggest threat for Island

As the UN-sponsored Climate Change Conference in Poland continues, a leading climate scientist says rising sea levels are one of the biggest concerns for the Isle of Man.

Climate change has been back in the headlines this week as Sir David Attenborough said that time is running out to 'save mankind and the natural world from extinction'.

Dr Douglas Fox, who was one of the lead authors of the second ever report in 1996, spends part his year living in Peel since.

Dr Fox says predicted climate change increases the likelihood of more extreme weather events on the Island similar to that experienced this summer.
