Robertshaw's concerns not allayed
A step forward for women’s rights in the island but a sad lack of balance on a profoundly important bill.
That is the belief of an MHK who tried to redefine abortion reform earlier this week.
East Douglas member Chris Robertshaw tabled a number of amendments in the House of Keys which, after lengthy debate, were defeated.
These included attempts to reduce the time limit for abortion on request and for allowing terminations for serious medical reasons or serious social grounds.
