Traditional industries 'ignored' - Joughin

Tourism and light manufacturing hopes for economy

The Island has ignored its traditional industries.

That's the belief of East Douglas MHK John Joughin.

Mr Joughin - who was elected to the Keys last November - is standing for re-election in September's general election.

Whilst welcoming the finance sector's major input to the economy, he believes a return to the Island's root industries may pay dividends in years to come.
