Island 'must show intent to combat climate change or else'

A renewable energy expert believes current efforts are unacceptable

Progression towards the Isle of Man's net zero requirements will directly impact on business and population prospects.

That's the view of a renewable energy expert who is concerned there's a 'disconnect' between government and the public over the Island's legal obligation to reach net zero by 2050.

John Curtis says the Island has one of the highest carbon emissions per capita and despite soaring costs, warns further taxes are likely to reduce the carbon footprint of the Island.
