
An Island resident has been caught-up in an online puppy scam.
They responded to a Facebook advert for a free English Bulldog, but incurred costs of nearly £200 for a puppy that never appeared.
The fraudster collected the money through Western Union, and the Office of Fair Trading was only notified when the victim reported they'd been asked for even more.
