Island's seal population could be affected by bird flu cases

Chief vet confirms it has been seen elsewhere

The Island's chief vet has told Manx Radio, bird flu spreading on the Isle of Man could affect the Island’s seal population.

More than 130 dead, and distressed, birds were found at the Point of Ayre at the weekend.

It’s since been confirmed they died of the highly pathogenic avian influenza.
