Jailed key workers 'traumatised'

Boss says families of trainee welders distraught following prison sentence

Trainee welders jailed for breaking self-isolation rules on the Isle of Man are 'traumatised' and their families have been left distraught.

That's according to their boss after five employees from Haigh* Rail were given prison sentences for visiting Tesco instead of heading straight to their accommodation when they arrived on the Island last week.

The group, which came to the Island to work on the Manx Electric Railway, included two 18-year-olds and a 22-year-old.
