A busy Douglas pub and restaurant is hoping to reopen this evening after a fire broke out on Wednesday night.
JAKs Bar and Steakhouse on Loch Promenade saw more than 200 staff and customers evacuate the building after an electrical fault caused a blaze in a stairway.
Fortunately, nobody was injured during the incident.
Damage to the bar and restaurant areas was minimal and owner Andy Gibbs says work is continuing to make sure it is ready to reopen again.
