Former councillor speaks about removal
The councillor whose resignation uncovered problems with local authority members and the electoral roll insists he did post his form.
Jon Joughin was a Douglas Councillor until it emerged he wasn’t on the electoral roll – something required of commissioners and councillors.
He says revelations up to 17 elected representatives may now also find themselves in the same situation shows something is amiss.
And Mr Joughin says he believes some of those may have filled in their registration forms, too:
