Jury in Attorney General trial expected to consider verdict later today

The jury in the trial of the Island’s Attorney General is expected to retire to consider its verdicts this afternoon (Wed).

That’s after the judge presiding over the case, Deemster Birkett, sums up the case at Douglas Courthouse.

Yesterday, the prosecution and defence presented their closing statements.

Fifty-two-year-old Stephen Harding of Glen Vine denies charges of perjury and committing acts against public justice, relating to the winding-up of former Island company Street Heritage in 2010.
