Changes to Douglas kerbside recycling
Going green has become a little bit easier for residents in the capital.
Douglas Borough Council has announced it will now accept plastic bottles with their lids on as part of its kerbside recycling scheme.
Though most types of plastic are recyclable, caps are often made from a different material, meaning they have to be dealt with separately.
But changes to the process mean both can now be processed together.
If you live in Douglas, you can opt into the programme by calling 696445.
