Bed poverty an issue for several years, says director of sixth form
Ensuring students who are sofa surfing stay in education is vital.
That's from the director of sixth form at Ballakermeen High School, who says bed poverty has been an issue for a number of years.
The school has a teacher dedicated to pastoral care, and provides free school meals to those who don't have permanent accommodation.
Richard Karran says there are a number of reasons why students end up without a home:
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
