KWC international students stayed with classmates after site closed

Pupils reflect on experiences during Island's lockdown

Island-based students at King William's College provided accommodation to their international classmates when the facility had to close during lockdown.

The privately-run school closed its doors in March when the Isle of Man Government introduced social distancing measures to combat the spread of coronavirus.

Those who live overseas outside of term time quarantined at the college for two weeks after returning to the Island for the new academic year.

Elias, who's from Germany, had to wait to go home when the site closed, while Manx resident Ava hosted one of her classmates:
