
Speaker of the Keys Steve Rodan will pay tribute to Manx men and women who fell in the First World War on a visit to Flanders battle field sites next week.
He will represent the Isle of Man on a tour of military cemeteries, war graves and peace parks, organised by the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly.
A large delegation will travel to the continent from Ashford in Kent by Eurotunnel on Monday (20 October), ahead of the Assembly's sitting.
During the day, Mr Rodan will play a lament on his bagpipes at one of the cemeteries and the tour will end with the Last Post ceremony at Menin Gate, Ypres.
