Review finds Island cannot support displaced Syrians
The chief minister says the Isle of Man can offer more effective support to refugees, solely by increasing funds to the UN High Commission.
Howard Quayle's government ha agreed to donate a further £1 million to humanitarian aid in Syria.
It follows a review which found the Island doesn't have the level of 'specialist support' necessary to take in refugees from the war-torn country.
Mr Quayle says his administration is obliged to match what the UK offers.
