Unite the Union wanted sliding scale so lower paid workers would benefit more
A trade union that represents public sector workers believes the latest pay offer from government doesn't benefit lower and middle earners.
A revised pay offer from the Public Services Commission was put forward earlier this month.
If accepted, the offer would mean government workers receive an additional 3.25 percent, with incremental rises over the next two years subject to the inflation rate remaining around two percent.
Unite the Union Isle of Man says it sought a sliding scale so low and middle paid workers would benefit more from the pay award.
It adds that top earners continue to receive large sums of money by the percentage increase.
