Simon Cain gives evidence to jury inquiry
The jury system may have its 'imperfections', but it is fit for purpose.
That's the view of Isle of Man Law Society President Simon Cain, who gave evidence to a Tynwald Committee on the matter yesterday (Fri 11th Mar).
The Committee, led by East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw, has been investigating matters such as the selection of juries, the risk of bias, their size and overall worth in court cases.
But Mr. Cain believes juries are usually the most appropriate way to deliver justice:
