Swimmer health fears dismissed
Manx Utilities has denied reports of raw sewage appearing on an Island beach.
Garff Commissioners issued a warning to swimmers yesterday, following reports of an unknown substance along the shoreline at Laxey.
Samples were collected for analysis.
But Manx Utilities, which operates the Island's sewer network, says early indications suggest it was in fact a benign 'natural phenomenon' caused by recent hot weather.
The area has been designated safe and clear.
