Matter to be raised in Tynwald
The Isle of Man needs to learn from the mistakes of the UK's social services, according to the Speaker of the House of Keys.
Steve Rodan MHK is part of a social affairs parliamentary scrutiny committee presenting its first report to be debated in Tynwald on Tuesday.
The report - 'Over-Referral and Under-Preparedness' - makes eight recommendations regarding the improvement of child protection on the Island.
Mr Rodan says the number of reported cases of child abuse here is very similar to the UK:
Sulby Straight closure in place this weekend
Baldrine Methodist Hall is not being sold by church
Health minister to give statement on Hospice funding
Majority of people on IOM not satisfied with travel options
