A legal high attributed to the death of a Ramsey teenager will continue to be banned in the Island during 2014, the Health Minister David Anderson has confirmed.
The MDAI drug was only due to remain a controlled substance until the end of this year.
However, Tynwald voted to extend the ban for a further 12 months after advice from the Island’s Advisory Council for the Misuse of Drugs.
Seventeen year-old Tanya Hughes died in April 2011 after taking the then legal substance.
