The first election result of the night has turned out to be a record-breaking result.
The youngest candidate to stand during this year’s local elections has been voted into the newly-formed Garff authority’s Laxey ward.
Liam Miller tallied 483 votes, well ahead of second-placed Julie Ann Pinson with 309 and Peter Kinnish, who received 267.
Fourth-place Rosalind Bate, with 148 votes, is the only candidate not to be voted in and loses her place on the Board of Commissioners.
