"To make sure you don't forget!"
The chairman and leader of the Liberal Vannin party have sent 6.6lbs of kippers to the new UK Prime Minister.
Michael Josem and Kate Beecroft have been pictured on social media, stood outside the Post Office as their cargo was submitted.
The post reads: "hey Boris Johnson - you said you cared about the Manx Kipper industry, and the plight of small businesses in these Isles."
"We've just posted you 6.6lbs of kippers to make sure you don't forget!"
When asked about 'kippergate' live on Mandate this morning, Chief Minister Howard Quayle said "any publicity is good publicity".
