'The Big Event’ at Sefton
The Lieutenant Governor has praised the Isle of Man’s spirit of community ahead of a celebration of the contribution thousands of volunteers make across the Island.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the Sefton Hotel in Douglas will host ‘The Big Event’, acknowledging the time, skills, caring and expertise given freely by Islanders.
It officially marks the start of Volunteers Week.
Sir Richard Gozney says it’s clear residents display a ‘tremendous willingness’ to support a variety of causes.
