Sir John Lorimer to raise money for Rebecca House
The Lieutenant Governor is going to be taking part in a charity bungee jump at this year's Southern Agricultural Show.
Sir John Lorimer is doing it to raise money for the Island's children's hospice, Rebecca House.
The idea was started during a recent podcast experience, which then grew into this fundraising challenge.
Vicky Wilson, Head of Children, Young People, In Patient Services and Therapies at Rebecca House says: "What started as a fun conversation has turned into a wonderful example of community spirit.
"Every jump will help us continue providing care, comfort and support to children, young people and families across the Island, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped bring Jump for Joy to life."
Rebecca House provides respite, palliative and end of life care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions from birth to 18 years, and all proceeds will go directly to the charity.
The 160ft jump will be facilitated by UK Bungee Club, and tickets are available for others to take part.

The Southern Agricultural Show is taking place on the 25-26 July.
