Tynwald to discuss far reaching review in June
A full debate on the findings of the Lord Lisvane inquiry, which conducted a wide-ranging review of the Island's parliamentary system, will be held in June.
Tynwald this afternoon (Tuesday) has heard the recommendations will be discussed then, rather during next month's sitting.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas said while government facilitated the review, it was a parliamentary matter and a June debate would provide an extra three months to consider the Lisvane proposals.
He added it contained 11 multi-part recommendations and expected there to be separate votes on all parts, while Lord Lisvane will return to the Island in late May for further discussions.
