Sailings diverted to Heysham across two weekends
Work being carried out on the Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool means a number of sailings are being diverted via Heysham this weekend.
The site is closed to allow for a modified dolphin fender to be reinstalled.
During berthing trials in 2024 it was identified that, at lower tides, mooring lines were clashing with the fender.
The Department of Infrastructure says this weekend's work forms the next phase of essential upgrades on the mooring dolphin at the terminal, ensuring that the facilities are compatible with all vessels likely to call there.
It says these upgrades will improve reliability and help prevent scheduling issues, supporting the strategic connection between the Isle of Man and Liverpool.
