Accused remanded in custody
A Liverpool man arrested after a drugs seizure has denied two charges.
Andrew Wharton, 52, from Kirkdale, has pleaded not guilty to producing cannabis and two offences of possession with intent to supply.
He was stopped by police on Spring Valley Road in Pulrose on Saturday night when cannabis with a street value of £196,000 was seized.
Mr Wharton has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Thursday (February 2).
