Local charity seeks help in tackling Island infestation

Manx residents can carry out survey in own gardens

The Manx public is being urged to help tackle an invasive species causing problems for the local hedgehog population.

 

Flatworms eat earthworms, a food source for hedgehogs, as well as causing soil infertility and flooding.

 

The Manx Hedgehog Conservation Society has launched a survey for locals to conduct in their own outdoor spaces during lockdown.
