Police appealing for witness information
An Isle of Man resident has died following a collision in the west of the Island on Sunday (4 June).
It happened at around 5pm near Handley's corner on the A3 Peel to Kirk Michael Road, when a Yamaha motorcycle hit a Nissan car which was leaving a nearby driveway.
The motorcyclist, a 59 year-old local man, was airlifted to Noble's Hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.
The two male occupants of the car, who are from Northern Ireland, were treated for minor injuries.
A third vehicle, a motorcycle from the UK, was also involved - and its rider taken to Noble's for treatment.
Inspector Dave Dobbie from the Isle of Man Constabulary says investigations are ongoing into the 'very sad' incident, and has thanked members of the public and marshals who stopped to help while emergency services were en route.
He's also asking anyone with relevant information, who has not already spoken to police, to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 631212.
The victim's next of kin have been informed.
