Health minister says NHS can't provide it
The health minister says having a locally based pharmacy dispensing cannabis based medicinal products will stop people being disadvantaged by living on an Island.
The Department of Health and Social Care is seeking a community facility to provide an import and dispensing service for people with private prescriptions.
Residents would have to obtain private scripts from clinics in the UK and clinicians who are on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council.
The pilot project would run for 12 months.
