Local woman to walk Island's coastline in memory of brother

Emma Blackburn raising money for IOM Air Ambulance

"My last challenge was in 2017 climbing Kilimanjaro. At the time William posted my pictures on his social media saying - 'couldn't be prouder of my sister right now.' I think it's time for a new challenge to make him proud."

Those are the words of Emma Blackburn who, along with best friend Maddie Landels, is walking round all 160km of the Island's coast in May to raise money for the IOM Air Ambulance in memory of her brother.

She aims to complete the challenge in 3 days and will camp overnight during the process.

William Blackburn was a pilot for the IOM Air Ambulance and passed away in a tragic crash while flying a light aircraft in Dubai.

Emma says 'I have decided to take a week off in memory of my beautiful soul mate, best friend and brother and walk his beloved Island in memory of him. Doing so it only feels right to raise money for something that was close to his heart.'
