Loganair in talks with UK Gov't over bailout

Airline provides patient transfers between Isle of Man and Liverpool

One of the airlines serving the Isle of Man is in talks with the UK government over a state bailout.

Sky News is reporting Loganair is negotiating a rescue package with Britain's Department for Transport.

The operator has had to cut the number of flights it operates daily in half as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and has asked staff to take a 20% pay cut.

Since last month, Loganair has provided flights from Ronaldsway to Liverpool including patient transfers following the collapse of Flybe, as well as operating other routes.
