Onchan MHK concerned after receiving data
An MHK says government isn't doing enough to support those on low incomes.
Onchan member Julie Edge has received written replies on the issue to questions she had asked in the House of Keys this week.
In figures provided to her by the Treasury Minister, its been revealed more than 15,000 taxpayers on the Island earned below the current personal allowance of £12,500 over 2015/16.
Social security benefits were not included in calculating these incomes.
Ms Edge says government can't afford to ignore the data:
Friday evening sailings subject to possible disruption or cancellation
More services to be temporarily relocated from Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital
Warning in place for coastal overtopping
Port St Mary father continues to fight for change in drug laws
