Treasury Minister speaks as government surplus revealed
There's still no room for complacency in the economy.
The view of Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan after it was revealed there was an apparent government surplus in the last year.
Income tax receipts brought in £21.6 million more than forecast - though there was a £1 million "stock shortfall" in the DOI.
Speaking on Mandate this morning, Mr Cannan said there were still major challenges ahead:
Government 'expects fuel pricing to stabilise by middle of week'
Tanker carrying 4.5 million litres of fuel waiting to dock
Queues at pumps as diesel prices increase across Island
We aren't the fun police!
