41-year-old charged with seven offences
Police need more time to assess 20 electronic devices which belong to a man accused of possessing more than 32,000 indecent images of children.
Daniel John Carpenter, of no fixed abode, appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday (10 January).
The 41-year-old has been charged with seven offences dating between September 2020 and December 2022.
The court heard the images allegedly span from Level 1 to Level 5 on the COPINE scale – the system which categorises the severity of images of child sex abuse.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next appearance on 7 February.
