Man sentenced for abusing paramedics

Faces 10-weeks at Isle of Man Prison

A local man has been sentenced for threatening and abusing paramedics.

An incident occurred on 21st November where a man was verbally agressive to crew trying to assist him.

He was arrested and taken to Police Headquarters; then charged with provoking behaviour - which landed him in court.

He now faces 10-weeks imprisonment.

The Isle of Man Constabulary says it applies a 'robust' no-tolerance approach to the abuse of hospital staff and paramedic crews.
