Comedy blockbuster premieres on Island
A comedy blockbuster shot on-location in the Isle of Man enjoyed a local premiere last night.
Mindhorn, a homage to 80s detective flicks and set against a string of Manx murders, is out in cinemas across the UK a week today (5 May).
It's been produced by BBC Films, in association with Studiocanal and Isle of Man Film.
Co-writers and stars Julian Barratt and Simon Farnaby attended a special screening at the Broadway Cinema in Douglas yesterday, followed by an audience Q&A.
They told Manx Radio why the Island appealed to them for filming:
'Pressure in the system' but bed figures are wrong says Manx Care
Work permits 'form part of longer-term plan' says Johnston
First Deemster and Clerk of Rolls appointed to senior roles
Mother's Day recognition for women who ‘shape our community’
