Manx artists gear up for three-day festival

Art to be on display across the Island over May Bank Holiday weekend

Local artists will display their work around the Isle of Man next month as the 8th Isle of Man Art Festival takes place.

The event, which is being held over the May Bank Holiday weekend, celebrates Manx painters, textile artists and designers, giving them a chance to exhibit and sell their art.

Laxey is the main hub this year, but 17 venues across the Island will have displays, including the Old Castletown Police Station, Ramsey Courthouse and the House of Manannan.

Two of the venues are open studios, which gives the public a different look at the work of the artist, according to illustrator Eve Adams, who is on the organising committee:
