Local man hopes to 'give something back to those less fortunate'
A Manx Beekeeper is travelling halfway across the world to help better the lives of those in need.
Isle of Man Beekeeping Advisor, Harry Owens is going to Burundi in Africa to train over three-hundred female beekeepers in how to make protective clothing and sustainable beehives.
He hopes this will allow them to produce their own honey for nutrition and also provide them with wax which can be made into ornaments and sold.
Harry says its going to be quite an adventure:
RPU will be 'out in force' to stop drink and drug drivers
Ramsey Commissioners to spend more than £8k on deckchairs and storage unit
How to spot the signs of domestic and elder abuse this Christmas
Police appeal to parents after party of up to 50 young people 'becomes an issue'
