They'll represent the Island in pom doubles in the USA this week
Two Isle of Man cheerleaders are set to compete among some of the best in the world in the sport this week.
Abby Vance and Caitlyn Hampson will be taking part in the Pom Doubles competition at the ICU World Championships being held in Orlando, Florida from Wednesday to Friday this week (22-24 April).
Both are members of SportCheer Isle of Man - a local non-profit organisation which aims to create pathways in cheerleading, allow competitors to take part in international events and also raise the profile of the sport here on Island.
Ahead of the championships, Abby and Caitlyn say they're excited about taking part in something which will be completely new to them:
Leading up to the trip, a fundraiser has also been held to help the team with the costs associated with getting to the championships.
As of last weekend, that total had reached just under £2,000.
The 2026 ICU World Junior & World Championships will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex which is based within the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando.
