Quirk denies accepting Manx Gas hospitality
An Onchan MHK says a claim by a political colleague that he accepted corporate hospitality is untrue and a ‘cheap shot’.
David Quirk was this week accused of compromising his position as chairman of the Office of Fair Trading by accepting hospitality from Manx Gas during the TT.
Mr Quirk denies accepting any hospitality from Manx Gas and there is no record of it on his interests page on the Tynwald website, last updated 9th April 2013.
Tynwald members must declare gifts or benefits in kind from private sources of more than £55.
Mr Quirk says he doesn't take the comments of North Douglas member John Houghton personally.
