Hopes team will arrive home this afternoon
A tortuous journey home from a weekend trip away continues for a group of Manx youngsters today (25 April).
Nineteen children and 10 adults, who'd been in Belfast for a junior football tournament, are making a zig-zag trip back to the Isle of Man, via Scotland and Heysham.
They couldn't board their ferry home from Belfast on Sunday night because several of the youngsters were sick.
The group subsequently took a ferry from the port of Larne to Cairnryan in Scotland, spending last night in a hotel in the UK.
They are due to travel back to Douglas from Heysham this afternoon.
Tony Mepham from the Manx FA says with only one return sailing between the Isle of Man and Belfast each week, future trips may not be practical:
