Digital archives made available from today
Manx National Heritage has announced there will be no charges for its digital newspaper collections from today.
It means readers can access the iMuseum Newspapers and Publications digital archive – which includes collections of the Isle of Man newspapers from 1792 to 1960.
Additional documents relevant to the heritage of the Island will also be available.
Original newspapers and publications are currently held at the Manx National Heritage Library and Archives at the Manx Museum – which has closed in response to coronavirus.
During this period of free access, readers don’t need to subscribe or create a login account.
All customers with existing subscriptions will be credited with additional time once the period of free access comes to an end.
More guidance and information is available on the Manx National Heritage Facebook Page, and the iMuseum website.
