Phishing message hooks locals
A particularly nasty phishing scam is circulating Manx Net users.
People are receiving emails under the name 'Sextortion'.
It's said users receive a message with one of their passwords in the title and content stating their device has been hacked with a ransom amount request to be sent via Bitcoin.
Like many other email spam campaigns of this type, these emails are designed to blackmail people.
If you do receive a message as such, Manx.net have advised not to click on any links in the email.
Instead, delete the message and change your password on Manx.net.
