It says it's not a 'competitive tender process' at this stage
Manx Utilities has opened a 'prior information notice' and 'request for information' for potential contractors interested in the Garff Sewage Treatment works.
The MUA says the exercise is not a competitive tender process, and it will not be awarding a contract as part of the scheme.
Currently, Manx Utilities has applied for planning permission to develop a treatment works in Axnfell Plantation and five associated pumping stations.
Interested parties are asked to submit details of their company and should also cover experience of delivering similar wastewater treatment works, project summaries with timescales and approaches to working on the Island.
The authority says the planning application remains 'under consideration' and any 'significant deviation' from the current proposals will not be possible without a delay to the scheme.
